The Brief:
A collection of whitepapers, research studies, and solution briefs designed to communicate complex data clearly and consistently across global markets.
For Blancco Technology Group, I designed and produced an extensive library of collateral spanning research studies, white papers and solution briefs. Each format has its own structure and demands, but all require the same careful balance of clarity, credibility and visual consistency.
Charts, statistics, and percentage breakdowns have to land clearly without feeling clinical. Typography needs to create a hierarchy that guides the reader through long-form content without them noticing it is doing so. White space has to work hard, giving the page room to breathe without wasting it.
Credibility is doing a lot of work in this kind of document. The design cannot call attention to itself, but it cannot be invisible either. Every layout decision, from the weight of a pull quote to the colour of a data point, contributes to whether the reader trusts what they are looking at.
A significant portion of this work was produced in multiple languages, including English, German, French and Japanese. Designing for translation means building flexibility in from the start, layouts that hold together when text length shifts, and typographic choices that remain effective across non-Latin scripts. It is the kind of constraint that is invisible when it is handled well, which is precisely the point.
