Moonbox Design Logo Design

The Brief:

This project brief called for the creation of a distinct and memorable logo for Moonbox Design, an Cambridgeshire-based creative agency. The goal was to craft a brand identity that visually reflected the agency’s name while maintaining simplicity and versatility.

This logo blends symbolic visual elements with modern typography to create a clean, adaptable brand identity. The logo is composed of two central icons: a stylized crescent moon and a geometric isometric cube. These minimal yet instantly recognizable graphics serve as a literal visual representation of the company name: “Moon” and “Box.” The icons can function independently, almost like pictographic symbols, enabling the brand to use a highly simplified version of the logo across various media.

The typographic portion balances contrast and structure. The word “moonbox” is set in a combination of bold, rounded lowercase for “moon” and a lighter, more refined lowercase for “box.” This choice emphasizes both readability and hierarchy while subtly reinforcing the duality within the name. Above the “oo” in “moon,” the crescent moon graphic is aligned, visually echoing the shape of the letters, while the cube is aligned with the “b” in “box” to create a harmonious visual flow.
